Home About Us Meet Our Members Business Services Membership Info Log In Contact Us
We welcome new members when openings are available in an existing business category or when a prospective member's business complements our other members' endeavors. Members are expected to provide business referrals for other members, so prospective members who primarily sell a product to consumers aren't a good fit for us.

Meetings
Business Women of the Triad meets weekly on Thursday mornings at 8:15 a.m. at Friends Homes West. If the Guilford County Schools are closed or delayed due to inclement weather, our meetings are canceled.

Agenda
Each meeting opens with a brief (30 second) introduction and "commercial" presented by each member. Guests are also introduced at this time. Following a short networking break, we have a 10-minute presentation about one group member's business. The speaker shares in-depth information about her business, the types of leads that are most beneficial to her and she answers questions. Following the speaker, leads of a general or specific nature are shared with individuals and/or the group. After announcements, the meeting is adjourned about 9:15 a.m.

Guests
Interested guests are invited to contact us for an invitation to attend a meeting. Then guests are welcome to attend up to three meetings with no cost or obligation, to experience the group's networking environment and to meet other members.

Membership Expectations
Membership is offered to businesswomen who are engaged in business-to-business endeavors as entrepreneurs or salespeople, as long as their business does not compete with or overlap the business of a current member. Membership is limited to 40, but slots open as members make career changes or move to other locations.

Regular attendance and up-to-date dues are also requirements. Members that are unable to attend regularly miss opportunities to give and receive referrals. When absences are frequent or dues are unpaid, a member may be asked to forfeit her membership so a new member can join.

Dues include a one-time initiation fee of $20 and yearly dues of $180. Members may elect to pay dues on a quarterly basis - $45 per quarter. Quarterly dues are due by January 6th, April 1st, July 1st and October 1st. New members joining at other times of the year pay an initiation fee and prorated dues for the remainder of the year.

Benefits of Membership
In addition to weekly meetings where general and specific leads are shared, Business Women of the Triad maintains this web site with members' profiles. Our www.bizwomentriad.com site serves as a fast connection to information about members' services & products and their contact information. Members receive a user name and password to access the Extranet where they can upload a business profile, change their contact information and add a photo.

We also encourage all members to meet one-to-one with the other members at least once a year to learn more about their businesses, opportunities for referrals and discover synergies.
